Use image and audio references in PDF AI chat
Attach an image or an audio explanation to give FileHero AI context for a PDF-editing request.
Attach a reference
Use the plus button in chat to attach PNG, JPEG or WebP images, or an audio file. Images and audio serve as references; attaching a PDF opens that PDF in the editor.
Explain what the reference means
Say what should be copied or changed: “Use the red color in this image for the title” is clearer than sending an image alone. Audio is transcribed to text, so check important names and numbers.
Review before applying
The reference helps interpret your request, but the assistant still produces an edit proposal. Review it before applying; turn Auto-apply off if you want to approve each eligible edit yourself. Images can be resized for processing, so very small labels may be difficult to read.
Data and persistence
Sending shares extracted document text, form values, attached images and audio transcripts with OpenAI. References are not saved with reopened chat history; reattach them when needed. Only share material you are authorized to use.
